So now that we know the essentialness of home care and how most of our loved ones enjoy the companionship, the looming question for most families is how to pay for it. With these concerns in mind, most will simply reject the notion of enrolling in a program or hiring a qualified caregiver to take care of mom. We love the company a home care provider gives, the clean home that is left behind each day, as well as the assistance with everyday life tasks that have become too difficult to manage alone. The alternative as we know is to leave the home for a place that is not home or even to a building designed to house many people without other options. When you talk to some of the franchises about prices, schedules and add on's, it will indeed shock you. Quality home care is not always within the price range, so what do you do? Hiring family members are ideal because they won't break our pockets, but a family member has an emotional tie that doesn't allow for hard truths or daunting professional tasks (Hoyer lift, transfers, colostomy, medication monitoring etc.). Be sure when shopping for a caregiver/ home care professional, you consider these facts and seek someone like #fwcompanions who keep it more private than most and will work out a schedule that is where you need it most at a price that is negotiated. We want your service, and we want to make it personal to you. Of course, we have to survive as a company, but you have to survive as a family. We care and we are here. Talk to you soon.
